1 3/4 c sugar
1/3 c flour
3 c sliced tart apples (granny smith work well)
2 c fresh cranberries
2 tbsp. butter
prepared pie crust (2)

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 425º. Stir together sugar and flour. Line pie pan with pastry crust. Alternate layers of apples, cranberries, and sugar mixture, beginning and ending with apple layers. Dot with butter
Cover with the top crust and cut slits to vent; seal and flute. Cover edges with foil to prevent excessive browning of crust. Remove foil the last 15 minutes of baking. Bake 40 to 50 minutes, until crust is brown.
