1 3/4 cups flour
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 cup brewed strong coffee
1 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp. vanilla

Mocha Frosting:

6 T. butter
6 T. cocoa
6 T. prepared coffee
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups powdered sugar

Cake:
Heat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans or one 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Mix the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Mix on low until dry ingredients are thoroughly combined. Add eggs, buttermilk, coffee, oil and vanilla. Beat on medium speed for two minutes; the batter will be thin. Pour batter evenly into prepared pans.

Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes for round pans, 35 to 40 minutes for rectangular pan or until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans to wire racks. Cool completely before frosting.

Frosting:
Mix cocoa, coffee, butter and vanilla. Add powdered sugar gradually until desired consistency.
