1 pound pork sausage, sliced
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup water
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
In an iron skillet over medium heat brown the sausage slices on both sides. Remove to a hot platter to keep warm. Pour off all but 2 tablespoons of sausage fat from the skillet. Add the flour and stir with a wire whisk until the flour has browned. Slowly whisk in the milk and water and cook until the desired thickness. Season to taste. Pour into a warm gravy boat. Serve the sausage and gravy while they are hot.
