Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 cups sugar
1/2 cup white Karo syrup
1/2 cup hot water
3 egg whites
1 tsp vanilla
dash of salt
1 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, syrup, water and salt in boiler and bring to boil over medium heat until it reaches a soft ball stage. While mixture is coming to boil, beat egg whites in a large mixing bowl until they make stiff peaks. When sugar mixture reaches the soft ball stage, slowly pour 2/3 of mixture into egg whites while beating constantly. Place remaining 1/3 of sugar mixture back on stove and continue to boil until it reaches the hard crack stage. Slowly pour the remaining sugar mixture into egg whites and continue beating. Add vanilla and beat on high until mixture has lost glossiness and it will hold its shape when spooned out. This will take from 6 to 10 minutes depending on the weather. Stir in nuts and drop by spoonful onto lightly greased or butter aluminum foil. Will make 40 to 50 pieces of bite size candy.

Personal Notes:
This divinity recipe will not get hard like some do. It remains soft and is like eating soft sugar clouds that melt in your mouth. It is one of the most often requested recipes during the Christmas season,
