1 12oz can evaporated milk
2 cups water
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup cocoa
dash of salt
4 yolks
3/4 cup self rising flour
1 stick butter
3 egg whites
4 tbsp powdered sugar
1 deep dish baked pie crust or two regular baked pie crust

In large microwave safe bowl combine sugar and cocoa and stir until well mixed. Slowly add can of evaporated milk and 1 cup water stirring well to get out any lumps of unmixed cocoa. Cook in microwave on high for three minutes or until very hot but not boiling.
While mixture is cooking combine egg yolks, 1 cup water and flour in blender and blend well until all lumps are gone. Pour half cup of hot mixture into egg yolk mixture and stir. Slowly pour all of egg yolk mixture into hot mixture while constantly stirring to mix well with wire wisp to get out any lumps in mixture. Cook in microwave at 1 minute intervals stirring well at the end of each minute with wisp to mix well. Cook until mixture is very thick then add stick of butter and stir until butter has melted. Set aside to cool slightly stirring occasionally.

In bowl beat egg whites until soft peaks form. Add powdered sugar one tablespoon at a time until well mixed and stiff peaks form. Spread egg whites over pie making sure to cover to crust on all sides of top.and place in a preheated 350º oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until browned on top. Cool to room temperature before serving.
