1/2 cup finely chopped onion
2 T. butter
1/3 cup fine bread crumbs like Panko Italian
1 10 3/4 ounce reduced fat Cream of Mushroom soup
1/4 cup slivered almonds
1 2-ounce jar minced pimiento, drained
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
2 15-oz. cans French cut green beans, drained
Shredded cheese, optional

Directions:
Directions:
In small skillet, brown onion in butter until tender. Remove from heat and toss bread crumbs in mixture to coat. Set aside.
Combine soup, almonds, pimiento, salt and pepper. Stir in drained green beans and optional shredded cheese. Transfer to a two-quart casserole. Sprinkle with onion-crumb mixture, Bake, uncovered, in a 350º oven for 30-35 minutes or until heated through. Makes 6 servings.
