4 medium bananas,1/3 cup butter, 1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar,1/4 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp nutmeg, 1/4 cup milk or light cream, 1/4 to 1/3 cup dark rum

Directions:
Directions:
slice bananas in half, then lengthwise in chafing dish or fry pan. Melt butter, stir in brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add bananas. Cook 3 to 4 minutes. Stir in cream cooking until thick about 2 minutes.To flame just before serving heat rum in ladle, ignite and quickly pour over bananas in chafing dish. Serve flaming over ice cream.
