Cake:

1 stick margarine
1/2 cup Crisco
6 eggs
1 cup milk
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups sugar
3 cups sifted self-rising flour

Icing;
2 cups sugar
1 1/2 sticks margarine
6 Tbsp. cocoa in enough warm water to make a paste of cocoa
1 1/2 cup evaporated milk ( 1 12 oz can)

Directions:
Directions:
For cake, mix margarine, Crisco and sugar until well blended. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Add flour and milk alternately, finishing up with milk. Add Vanilla. Batter will be thinner than usual. Grease and flour cake pans. Put 4 large tablespoons of batter in each pan and bake at 350 degrees until done, about 12 minutes. Check often - do not overcook. For icing, mix sugar, margarine and evaporated milk. Whisk in the paste of cocoa, mixing in any lumps. Begin cooking this icing after cake has been been mixed, but before putting any layers in the oven. Bring icing to a boil, and let it slowly simmer. It should be ready when the first layers come out of the oven. Ice layers while still hot.
