Crust:
1 box yellow cake mix
1 stick butter, melted
1 egg

Filling:
3 eggs
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1 1/2 cups Karo syrup
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups pecans (broken into pieces)

Directions:
Directions:
For crust: Combine 3 cups cake mix with butter and egg, beating until mixed. Press into well greased 13 x 9 x 2 baking dish. Bake at 350º for 20 minutes.

For filling: Beat eggs and sugar. Add remaining cake mix, syrup and vanilla. Beat one minute. Pour over baked crust and sprinkle with nuts. Bake at for 35 minutes.

When you remove it from the oven, sprinkle with a 12 oz bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips and smooth over the top as they melt. Cool completely and cut into bars.
