Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 ½ cups canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed (reserve ¼ cup of the liquid from the can)
2 cloves garlic
2 T tahini
2 T fresh lemon juice
¾ t paprika
1 T barbecue sauce
1 ½ T Frank’s Red Hot (or similar cayenne pepper sauce)
1 ½ teaspoons white vinegar
¾ t salt

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients including the ¼ reserved liquid from the can of chickpeas into a food processor or blender. Puree ingredients until smooth*. Serve.

Serving Suggestion:
I served this with cut up celery and carrot sticks and sandwich thins that I’d lightly misted with olive oil cooking spray, sprinkled with a little salt & garlic powder, toasted and cut into triangles. Pita, crackers or bread would also be delicious.
