3/4 cup Crisco©
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp soda
3 cups uncooked oatmeal

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º F. Place Crisco©, sugars, egg, water, and vanilla in bowl; beat thoroughly. Sift together flour, salt and soda. Add to Crisco mixture and mix well. Blend in oats. Drop by teaspoonful onto greased (or use silicon baking mat) cookie sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes.

I like these a bit on the soft side, while husband, Eddie, thinks all cookies should crunch. So, if you overbake them a little, don't admit it, just say you make them for Eddie.
