64 oz. Chicken Broth
2 - 16 ounce bags Extra Wide Egg Noodles
5 oz. Evaporated Milk
8 oz. Milk
1/2 stick butter

Clean the whole chicken, remove the bag and necks and place the chicken in a pot to boil for 1 hour.
Remove the chicken from the water and place it in a bowl to be deboned. (This is a good task for 1 person to do while the other works on the soup)
Add in 32 ounces of chicken broth, and see if that is going to be enough liquid for the amount of soup you want. You may add another 16-32 ounces of chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then add 1 16 ounce bag of extra wide egg noodles. You may add an additional half bag (8 ounces) if you have enough liquid to cook it. After the noodles boil and almost finished, reduce heat to medium and add in 1/2 stick butter. Then whisk as much flour as you can with the 5 ounces evaporated milk and slowly combine it into the main pot. Increase heat, and boil for a few minutes. Reduce heat to medium again, and combine more flour with 8 ounces of milk, adding slowly to the pot to prevent clumping. You can also whisk as you pour the flour mixture in to help prevent clumping. Increase heat and boil again for a few minutes. Reduce heat to low, then salt and pepper to taste. Soup will thicken and is ready to serve anytime.

None of the measurements are exact. Nana would always say "about this much", and as you make this recipe a few times, you won't look at the measurements either. Have fun.
