1 cup dark or light molasses
1 cup sugar
1 tbsp. butter
2 quarts unsalted popcorn

Directions:
Directions:
Cook, molasses, sugar, and butter and bring to soft ball stage. Use a candy thermometer to get to this stage. Remove from heat and pour over popcorn mixing until the popcorn is coated. Use Pam or similar spray to coat hands; shape balls of popcorn and place on waxed paper. Let cool and eat.

This recipe was found in Grandma Clara Ready recipes. As children we would make popcorn balls and have them around Christmas. They are very good and easy to make just messy.
