3/4 cup butter creamed
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg yolk
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 1/2 cup flour
Jam of your choice

Directions:
Cream butter and sugar; add egg yolk, chopped nuts and flour mixing well. Form balls and dent center filling with jam. Bake 350º F for 12 minutes.

This was found among Grandma Clara Ready's recipes. It sounds like a great cookie for valentines day. The jam would make it chewy.
