2 cups scalded milk
2 pkgs. yeast
3 eggs beaten
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup lard (shortening)
3/4 cup sugar
flour enough to handle

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk then cool put in yeast; beat eggs, salt, shortening and sugar; add enough flour to handle. Roll out as thin as possible into a circle. Cut like a pie having 8 triangles. Grease after dough has been rolled out. Grease again on the top and let raise. Bake 375º F for 25-30 min. Frost with powdered sugar and roll in crushed peanuts.

This was found in Grandma Clara Ready's handwriting; It sounds similar to what she would make with left over pie crust, which was trimmed and sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar then baked. The only difference is this dough is raised and baked then coated with powdered sugar and rolled in crushed peanuts.
