4 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons baking powder
1 teaspoon soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
2/3 cup margarine softened
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
1/4 cup melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, baking powder, soda, salt, sugar and cut in 2/3 cup margarine until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add buttermilk, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened and turn dough out on a lightly floured surface, knead lightly 4 or 5 times. Roll dough to 3/4 of an inch thick. Cut with a 2 3/4 inch biscuit cutter. Place biscuits on lightly greased baking sheet, brush tops with melted butter. Bake at 450° for 15 minutes or until golden brown on top.

Azzie always fixed a big breakfast and her biscuits melted in your mouth. We also had hot french bread from Klines Bakery that was just around the corner. You could smell it baking when you woke up. You can't beat hot french bread right out of the oven.
