10 to 12 fresh cloves garlic, minced
4 pounds bacon end pieces
3 large yellow onions
2 to 3 pounds (more or less) dry pinto beans
4 packages brown gravy mix
2 beef bouillon cubes
Chopped green chilies to taste
1 to 2 ham hocks

Cut meat off of the bacon and discard most of the fat and brown bacon in large pot. Cut onions into large pieces and add to bacon. Mince the garlic and add to onions then add remaining ingredients and cover with water. Simmer on medium low for 8 to 10 hours.
