2 cups boiling water
1 cup rice
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon salt
1 onion
2 cups sour cream
1 cup cottage cheese
2 to 3 cans chopped green chilies

Directions:
Directions:
Cook rice for 30 minutes. Fry onion until tender, pour cooked rice into large bowl and toss with the cooked onions, 2 cups sour cream, 1 cup cottage cheese, 2 to 3 cans chopped green chilies and mix well. Then layer rice mixture and then a layer of cheese, repeat and top with cheese. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

This is a great side dish that goes good with steak. If your family likes rice it's a nice change from potatoes.
