1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tablespoon sugar optional
1/2 tablespoon salt
1 egg lightly beaten
1 cup ice water
2 tablespoons salad oil
2 to 3 pounds peeled shrimp

Directions:
Directions:
Peel shrimp. Pat dry, butterfly, de-vein and pat dry with paper towel. Dip into batter and fry at 375° until golden brown.

Uncle John loved to fish and he loved seafood. Every Sunday he would have fried mullet, potato salad and sweet tea and watch football!
