1/8 pound salt pork, finely chopped
3 pounds round steak cubed
6 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon oregano
2 teaspoons cumin
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cayenne
2 large cloves garlic
1 teaspoon Tabasco
1 1/2 quarts water
1/2 cup cornmeal

Directions:
Directions:
Fry salt pork until crisp; at stake and brown. Add seasonings and water; heat to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours. Skim off fat, stir in corn meal and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes. Delicious.
