6 cups green tomatoes
6 cups chopped ripe tomatoes
6 cups chopped cabbage
3 medium onions
2 red peppers (remove seeds and chop)
1 tbsp celery seed
6 cups vinegar
6 cups white sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1 tbsp ground cloves
1 tbsp white mustard seed
1/2 cup pickling salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix chopped tomatoes, cabbage, onions and peppers with pickling salt. Let stand overnight. Then drain well and add vinegar, sugar and spices. Cook slowly until done. Put in sterilized jars and seal. Makes 8 or 9 pints. It is much simpler to grind vegetables or use a food processor to cut vegetables.
