1 1/2 cups chopped apples
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
2 tsp cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, cream of tartar, soda, salt together. Work shortening into this and add milk to make a good dough. Roll out and add apples; sprinkling with sugar and cinnamon. Roll like jelly roll; cut off slices and bake 350°F for about 20 min.or until slightly browned.
