Personal Notes:
This recipe was given to Grandma Barbara Coan by a friend (Julie LeDuc) at St. Josephs in Mariposa. It is wonderful and Julie put a note at the bottom which read:
I used butter, a 9x13 cake pan, and quick cooking oatmeal, maybe 2 cups of chocolate chips. After chips are sprinkled on bars I put it back in oven long enough to melt the chips and then smooth the chips over the top. Then using more milk than called for I try to drizzle frosting.
