28- 32 oz can sliced peaches - drained (or ~ 4 C fresh cut up)
1 Stick Margarine
1 C Self-Rising Flour
1 C Sugar
1 C Milk
cinnamon
nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Put margarine in a 9 x 13 pan and place in oven while preheating to 350º
Combine flour sugar and milk.
When margarine is melted and oven is preheated, remove pan and pour about half the margarine in the batter and stir. Pour the peaches in the pan with the rest of the melted margarine and then pour the batter evenly all over the peaches. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.(not for blackberries) Return pan to the oven and bake until browned and cake is done.

This same recipe works wonderfully with other fruits too. It is excellent for blackberry cobbler. Use a generous Qt of Blackberries that have been washed and sweetened with a ⅓ C sugar.
