2 yeast cakes
2 cups luke warm water
flour enough to make a sponge
Lemon extract
2 1/2 cup scalded milk
1 3/4 cup sugar
1 cup shortening or 1/2 cup shortening 1/2 cup butter
4 eggs

Strussel Topping:
1/3 cup flour
3 tbsp. butter
1/3 cup sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk add sugar and shortening; add eggs mix and then add flour to make a soft dough not to stiff. Let stand by warm place until double. Knead and let rise again two more times.

Strussel Topping:

Mix flour, butter and sugar like pie dough.
Bake 350º until done
