1 whole chicken
1 clove garlic (crushed)
1 (13 1/2 oz) chicken broth
1 1/2 tsp. salt
10 peppercorns
1 bay leaf
1 onion peeled stuck with 2 whole cloves
1 stalk celery with leaves
3 sprigs of parsley
1 sliced lemon
1 small onion finely chopped
2 small potatoes cubed
1/2 cup fine noodles
1/3 cup chopped fresh dill

Directions:

Rub chicken with garlic place in large pot. Add garlic, chicken, broth, water to cover completely, salt, peppercorns, bay leaf, onion stuck with cloves, celery, parsley, and lemon juice from lemon.

Heat to boiling. Reduce heat cook until chicken is fork tender about 50 minutes. Skim off fat during cooking. Remove chicken cool slightly. Remove bones and skin cut meat into bite size pieces.

Add bones to broth until bother is reduced to by 1/4. Strain discard bones and vegetables. Return soup to heat and add chopped potatoes, onions, and carrots. Cook covered over medium heat until vegetables are almost tender about 15 minutes. Add noodles and chicken cooking 6-8 minutes.

Sprinkle with dill before serving.
