1/2 lb. Butter
1/2 cup Shortening
3 cup Sugar
6 Eggs
3 cup Flour
1/2 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1 cup Milk
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 tsp. Lemon

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and shortening with mixer at high speed. Add sugar and cream well. Add eggs, one at a time. Keep mixer beating all the time. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add one cup of flour mixture. Blend. Add 1/2 cup milk. Blend. Add one cup flour mixture. Blend. Add the remaining milk and flavoring and blend. Pour batter into a well greased and floured tube pan. Place in cold oven. Set temperature at 350º and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
