2 small packages lemon Jello (or 1 large package)
1 2 lb. can crushed pineapple (reserve juice)
3 bananas cubed
1 egg beaten
1/2 cup sugar
3 cups water
1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 c. pineapple juice
1 1/2 tbsp. flour
1 16 oz. tub cool whip
Sharp cheddar cheese grated for topping
Directions:

Dissolve Jello in water cool add pineapple juice bananas, marshmallows and cool until firm, pour into 13 x 9 inch baking dish.
In large pan heat pineapple juice, add flour, sugar, beaten egg, and cook stirring constantly until thick. Fold in cool whip when mixture is cool spread over Jello and garnish with grated sharp cheddar cheese before serving.

Grandma Anna (George) Ready would make this delicious salad for holidays. It was always fun to go to her home for family gatherings. These times will always be cherished and the stories passed down to future generations.This became a favorite dish and is still served during holiday meals.
