1# Sirloin Steak or London Broil
1 Clove Garlic minced
3 Tbs Flour
1 3/4 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Pepper
1 tsp Paprika
1/4 C Shortening
2 Tbs. Chives
1/2 C Onion - chopped
1/2 C Water
1 # Fresh Mushrooms - Sliced
1 Can Beef Consomme'
1/2 C. Sour Cream

Directions:

Rub both sides of meat with the garlic. Cut into thin strips 1 1/2" long. Mix flour, salt, pepper and paprika. Add meat and toss lightly until the meat strips are well coated with the flour. Heat shortening in heavy skillet. Add meat and brown well. (Reserve any remaining flour.) Add the onions cooking until transparent. Add remaining flour, consomme', water and mushroom. Cover and cook slowly until meat is tender (1 1/2 hr) Remove cover and cook until thickened and add sour cream, chives and blend. Serve with cooked broad noodles
