18 graham crackers (or 1 ½ c. crumbs)
½ c. slivered almonds
8 T. melted butter
¼ c. sifted confectioner's sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Filling:
2 lb. cream cheese
½ tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
4 eggs, well-beaten
2 tsp. lemon juice
½ pint sour cream
4 T. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
½ tsp. almond extract

Crust: Slaughter the graham crackers and almonds in a blender or food processor. Mix with remaining ingredients. Set aside ¼ of the mixture for cake topping. Pat ¾ of the mixture onto the sides and bottom of a greased spring form pan. Chill the lined pan thoroughly.

Filling: Cream the cheese. Beat the eggs with 1 c. sugar until thick and lemon colored. Combine with cheese, lemon juice and salt. Beat well. Pour into the lined spring form pan. Bake in pre-heated 375º oven for 20-25 minutes. Blend the sour cream, 4 tablespoons sugar, vanilla and almond extracts. Spread over partially baked cake. Sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture and bake in pre-heated 475º oven for 10 minutes. When cool, place in refrigerator for several hours. Remove ½ hour before serving.

Friends beg me to make this dessert at holiday time. It is exceedingly rich so if you take it to a pot luck be sure to slice it ahead of serving time. If you don't, folks will cut themselves huge slices and either won't be able to eat them or their cholesterol levels will spike significantly.
