3 cups cooked mash sweet potatoes (or canned sweet potatoes, drained and mashed)
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/4 t salt
1/2 cup evaporated milk

For topping: 3/4 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup pecan halves

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sweet potatoes, sugar, butter, salt, evaporated milk, mixing until creamy. Transfer mixture to a buttered 1 1/2 quart casserole dish.
For topping: Combine brown sugar, flour, butter, pecans. Crumble mixture by hand and spread over sweet potato mixture. Bake in preheated oven 350 for 45 minutes or until topping is golden brown and mixture is heated through. Yields 8-10 servings.
