1 1/2 c. meal
1/4 c. or 3 level tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 egg
Buttermilk to pouring consistency
Add 2 tbsp. melted bacon fat

Mix first four ingredients together. Add next three ingredients. Bake in preheated oven at 375º for 30 minutes.
