Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Chicken Thighs and Breasts
Celery (finely chopped)
Onions (finely chopped)
Bisquick
milk
garlic and onion powder
celery salt

Directions:
Directions:
Boil chicken with celery and onions in a big pot of water. You can even add one can of chicken broth or stock if you like (Mom sometimes did this). Boil till the chicken starts to fall off the bone. Let cool down and remove chicken from the stew and de -bone. Place chicken back in the stew and be sure you don't leave any bones in there. For the dumplings follow the directions on the Bisquick box and add garlic, onion powder and celery salt to the mixture. Don't add too much, just a little to give them some flavor. Add dumplings to chicken stew and cook according to directions. If the stew is not thick enough you can mix in a little flour that has been mixed with cold water.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is a good comfort food dinner that Mom liked to cook in the winter time. She usually served it with a side of red cabbage.I like to add fresh carrots to my stew and sometimes even mushrooms. Mom would always laugh when I did this because I could never cook as "simple" as she did. I guess that's why Moms' was always better when she made it.
