2 bay leaves
2 pounds ground beef (elk)

1/2 teaspoon curry powder
1 tablespoon cumin
1 tablespoon salt
Cayenne pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Wash beans, put in crock pot with 6 cups water and bay leaves. Cook till tender. (about 6-8 hours) Fry meat, onions, and garlic until brown. Add to beans, (You can drain the beans if you want to, but i don't) to remaining ingredients. SImmer about one hour.

Another variation I do is instead of canned whole tomatoes I use tomatoes with diced green chili. My kids don't like big chunks of tomatoes, so this helps with flavor and not having such big chunks of tomatoes.
