1/2c. butter
1 1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 c. sour cream
1 c. chopped pecans
1/4 c. lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º Grease a 9x5x3 loaf pan.

Cream butter, 1 cup of sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs; Mix well. Starting with the dry ingredients, combine the dry ingredients, alternately with the sour cream. Pour into loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes or until done. While the bread is baking, Combine lemon juice and remaining 1/2 c sugar in a sauce pan over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved completely. Pour over bread fresh from oven. Do not remove the bread from the pan until it has completely cooled. Place the place from the oven directly on a cooling rack.
