Ingredients: 1 pound wide noodles 2 cups chopped cooked ham 3 eggs 1/2 half cup sour cream 1/2 heavy cream salt and black pepper 1 teaspoon nutmeg 6 tablespoon grated Gruyere cheese butter salted water

Directions:1. Preheat oven to 400ºF 2. Cook noodles until just tender in boiling salted water and drain 3. Toss noodles and ham together with fork. 4. Butter casserole dish 5. Add noodles (with ham) to dish 6. Beat eggs, mix in sour cream and heavy cream mixture,salt,pepper,nutmeg and 1/2 of the grated cheese 7. Pour this mixture over noodles and ham in the casserole 8. Dot with small pieces of butter and sprinkle remaining cheese over casserole 9. Place in oven for about 30-40 minutes Serve Hot |

Notes: My maternal grandmother made this recipe often. I really couldn't find the recipe she followed--this is one of the dishes that she knew the recipe by heart. I consulted my mother's cookbooks, but did not really find anything she thought would come out the same. With her help, we used one of the recipes, but adapted it significantly.
