Notes: When my mother was a little girl her mother always made her clothes. They would look through the catalogue together and Grandma Bessie would let mom pick out a pattern she liked and Grandma would draw the pattern on a newspaper and that was the pattern they used. They would pick out some fabric and Grandma would send away for it and when it came in the mail she would make mom that dress. Mom said she did a great job at making her clothes. Jackie
