1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 T sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400º
Mix thoroughly butter, shortening, 1/2 cup sugar and the eggs. Blend in flour, cream of tartar, soda, and salt. Shape dough by rounded teaspoons into balls.
Mix 2 T sugar and the cinnamon; roll balls in mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Immediately remove from baking sheet.
