Ingredients: 2 1/2 c. flour 1/2 c. salt 1 T. alum 1 3/4 c. boiling water 2 T. vegetable oil *optional: Food Coloring or Tempera Powder to color if desired. Recommended for ages 3 years and up...

Directions:Mix flour and salt in a bowl. Mix alum, water, oil and food coloring in a separate bowl; add to flour and salt mixture. Knead well. Add extra flour if sticky. No refrigeration is needed. Keep in an airtight container. |

Notes: Sydney, Ashley and I have made this recipe and played with the playdough quite a few times when they come to stay with me. Stella and Caitlin are still too young to use this recipe, but they are growing up fast and soon they will be making and playing with playdough just like their big sisters, at grandma's house.
