4 cups plain flour, unsifted
1 T. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 3/4 cup Crisco
1 T. white vinegar
1 egg, large
1/2 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first three ingredients in mixing bowl. Add shortening and mix with fork or pastry blender until crumbly. Beat water, egg and vinegar together and add to flour mixture, stirring with fork until all flour is well moistened. Divide dough into 4 parts and shape each into a flat patty. Roll out as usual. Freeze any not needed for later use, either as patty or in pie pan.

I use this crust recipe for all my pies. It came from a recipe book given to be by a very special cousin that lives in Kingsburg, Ca.
