1 cup soft butter
1 1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup (8 oz.) finely chopped blanched almonds

Directions:
Using an electric mixer: Cream butter in large bowl until light. Gradually add flour and sugar and beat. Stir in almonds. Chill a little and then shape dough into 2 cylinders on a sheet of waxed paper. Wrap tightly and refrigerate overnight. Preheat oven to 350º. Butter 3 baking sheets. Cut dough into 1/4 inch slices. Bake until light brown; about 10 minutes. Cool on rack.
